About Us

From One Kitchen to a Brisbane Favourite

Our journey began in 2009 with Mirchh Masala in Woolloongabba, opening as a South Asian grocery store with a simple mission—to bring the authentic flavours of home closer to Brisbane's growing multicultural community.
That passion led to the creation of Golgappa—bringing together authentic Indian street food, quality groceries and freshly made sweets under one roof.

We waited around 15–20 minutes for our food, but it was definitely worth the wait. After waiting for about 20 minutes, we received our Chole Bhature and thali, and both were fresh, delicious, and full of authentic Indian flavours. The service was very good, and the staff were friendly, polite, and welcoming.
